Supporting enrollment in nursing, medical technology, and allied health programs at community colleges across the country.
Education. Workforce. Opportunity.
Partnering with community colleges to expand access to Career and Technical Education and build pathways to high-demand careers.
Learn MoreCommunityNow (CN) is an initiative of Foster Care to Success (FC2S), building on more than 30 years of experience providing financial assistance to young adults enrolling in colleges and universities.
Founded in 1981, FC2S has helped orphans, foster youth, and young people who experienced homelessness pursue higher education nationwide. Over four decades, FC2S has supported thousands of students by providing direct financial assistance for tuition and fees, room and board, and essential living expenses.
Today, the education and workforce landscape has evolved—so too has our approach.
In 2025, in response to a changing economy and growing demand for skilled workers, FC2S launched CommunityNow with a focused emphasis on Career and Technical Education (CTE). Rather than operating solely through direct-to-student assistance, CommunityNow partners with community colleges and community-based organizations to strengthen local capacity and expand access to high-demand career pathways.
Working with partner institutions, CommunityNow develops targeted grant assistance programs that increase enrollment and completion in well-paid, high-need professions.

Partnering with two-year colleges and local organizations to align with regional workforce needs and build lasting capacity.
In 2026, CommunityNow will collaborate with 8–10 two-year colleges across multiple states. By partnering locally, CommunityNow leverages its resources to align with regional workforce needs and build durable capacity within communities.
The goal is straightforward: creating pathways that lead to credentials, employment, and long-term economic stability for students and the communities they serve.
