Nursing & Healthcare
Supporting enrollment in nursing, medical technology, and allied health programs at community colleges across the country.
Education. Workforce. Opportunity.
Building partnerships nationwide to rebuild a workforce of skilled professionals who are employable now and can continue to grow professionally.
Learn MoreCommunityNow (CN) is a new Foster Care to Success (FC2S) initiative, building on four decades of experience providing financial assistance and guidance to young adults enrolling in colleges and universities.
Founded in 1981, FC2S has helped orphans, foster youth, and young people who have experienced homelessness pursue higher education nationwide. Thousands of students have received financial assistance for tuition and fees, room and board, and essential living expenses combined with engaged guidance and encouragement.
Today, the education and workforce landscape has evolved — so too has our approach.
In 2025, in response to a changing economy and growing demand for skilled workers, FC2S launched CommunityNow to focus on Career and Technical Education (CTE). Rather than solely awarding scholarships directly to students, CommunityNow partners with nonprofits and 2 year colleges to strengthen local capacity and expand opportunities for young adults to enter the workforce with skills and credentials.
Working with partners, CommunityNow grants increase enrollment and completion in CTE programs that lead to well-paid, in-demand professions.

Expanding pathways into plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other essential technical fields that communities depend on.
Partnering with two-year colleges and local organizations to align with regional workforce needs and build lasting capacity.
In 2026, CommunityNow is collaborating with ten colleges and several nonprofit organizations. By partnering locally, CommunityNow leverages its resources to align with regional workforce needs while helping break the cycle of underemployment that traps many young adults.
The goal is straightforward: supporting education and training opportunities that lead to credentials, employment, and long-term economic stability for young adults and building tomorrow’s workers in medical and construction professions.
